We left one week ago today.
The lack of wind we were complaining about yesterday seems to have filled in several fold. We tried sailing in 7 kn, which proved frustrating at best. At the moment we are seeing 20-25 knots from the north and we’re beating into it now. It is not as comfortable as a beam reach. None of the forecasts had this with much accuracy.
Dan made latkes yesterday. They were quite delicious. Also served with bigmeal yesterday was more chicken sausage.
On our passages, we tended to have one bigmeal daily. Cooking at sea can be fraught with peril and requires considerable effort, so energy is focused into making one meal with something like a small bowl of cereal and quite a bit of supplemental snacking.
Thanks to Lance, we determined why the starlink was rebooting. I purchased the wrong voltage DC/DC adapter to use. So at the moment, we are back to using the inverter for now. Tae started to see if he could modify the 48v one to 56v, but no tangible progress yet. Modification is paused until the sea state is calmer.
